Two former DNHS coaches will be inducted into Del Norte High School Athletics Hall of Fame on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at approximately 6 pm following the 5 pm varsity basketball game. The inductees include:
- Coach Frank Love, the first head basketball coach for the opening of Del Norte in 1964, coached Basketball and Cross Country at Del Norte from 1964 to 1985. His 1966 Cross Country team won DNHS’s first athletic state championship.
- Coach Paul Sacket coached at Del Norte from 1966 to the 1990s and was named the 1997 Golf Coach of the Year by the New Mexico High School Coaches Association. He was also an Assistant Coach for the DNHS Football Team’s 1974 Championship.
The Induction Ceremony will be in the Del Norte Main Gym. Please park in the San Mateo lot.
