On Saturday November 16, 2019, Del Norte will be hosting the 22nd Annual Duke City Drill Meet. DNHS Air Force Junior ROTC sponsors this drill event for multiple schools in the state. There will be drill competitions for armed, unarmed as well as female color guard and male color guard. (Shooting is done at another location earlier in the week.)
This will be one of the many events the DNHS AFJROTC program participates in this year. The students are judged and scored on this performance. At the end of the event they are awarded trophies for the top schools. It’s an all day event, but if you are able to come support by watching and cheering, it’s always a great help! It’s really a great event and the DNHS AFJROTC snack bar is a major fundraiser for the program.
The Del Norte High School Air Force JROTC does not receive Air Force funding for activities.
