The following are Frequently Asked Questions of the AlumKnights®.
I am working with former DNHS classmates on setting up a reunion this year. How do we go about it?
Class reunions committees typically setup a web site or public social networking page with information about the reunion events. An example of such a site is the DNHS Class of 1988’s reunion web site at: 1988.delnortehighschool.com where you can get ideas about possible venues and what information you need to present to your classmates regarding your own reunion.
When you get a web page setup with your preliminary reunion information please make sure and visit the alumni web site www.dnhsalumni.com and use their “contact us” form to submit your reunion specific information. That way your reunion information can be posted on the alumni web site’s reunion page. Please note that the DNHS alumni web site is completely free, contains no ads, does not sell your information to third parties and offers up to date information in regards to the latest DNHS alumni happenings/events/reunions. Please make sure and register on the official alumni web site listed above.
In addition, once your reunion plans are finalized, please contact the DNHS Alumni Association at webmaster@alumknights.info. We will arrange for someone from the Alumni Association to either attend one of your events or give you information to hand out to your reunion attendees.
Do we need to get sponsors to help pay for a DNHS reunion?
Getting sponsors to help pay for your reunion costs is something that that is very hard to do. However, it doesn’t mean that you can’t try. Typically, reunion committee members put up their own money for the deposits required for all the reunion events planned. They then charge a event-based fee to the alumni who attend the event. These fees can be collected in advance via mailed check, online using a service like PayPal or at the door.
Is there Alumni Association money available for DNHS reunions?
No. The Del Norte High School Alumni Association has very limited funding and its’ primary function is to enable DNHS alumni to serve the DNHS community in a variety of ways.
How do I get involved with the AlumKnights®?
The primary function of the non-profit AlumKnights® organization is to enable DNHS alumni to serve the DNHS community in a variety of ways. You can subscribe to the AlumKnights® email notifications. If you are interested in becoming an active member of the AlumKnights® you can use our Contact Us form to let us know.
How can I view an old Del Norte High School yearbook?
It may be possible to find a copy of the yearbook you are interested in on-line. Go to classmates.com and you may be able to find what you need there without an account, but creating an account is free and it allows viewing specific pages in detail. However, not all years are available. Another option is to check if the school has an archive copy of the yearbook in question which can be scheduled to be viewed by appointment. Call the school directly at (505) 883-7222.
How do I get connected with my fellow Del Norte alumni?
There is a separate DNHS alumni web site run by a DNHS Alumni. It is completely free, contains no ads, does not sell your information to third parties and offers up to date information in regards to the latest DNHS alumni happenings, events and reunions. You can register on the alumni web site at http://www.dnhsalumni.com/. To register on the site, create an account, verify it (via email) and then log in and update your alumni profile.
