Camille Kelly, Director of Choral and Piano Activities at Del Norte High School in Albuquerque, has been named as a 2024 Golden Apple Finalist. The Golden Apple Foundation of New Mexico identifies, recognizes, and rewards exceptional teachers in New Mexico with prestigious Golden Apple awards. She was recognized at the awards banquet September 27, 2024, at which six DNHS choir students came with her to sing the National Anthem at the banquet.
Ms. Kelly is a native of Albuquerque and earned a degree in music education at UNM. She has taught and directed ensembles at all levels from elementary to college. She is also an Adjunct Professor for Something Major A Cappella & The HoneyChords at the University of New Mexico and has been a judge and clinician at numerous festivals and contests around New Mexico. 2024 marks her third year at Del Norte High School.
