Application Requirements and Selection Process
Before submitting your application review the following points to ensure complete understanding of the scholarship application, deadline, and eligibility requirements. It is your responsibility to ensure that a complete application and all requested materials are submitted. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
Purpose:
The Skilled Trades Scholarship provides a one-year $1,000 scholarship to graduating seniors to graduating seniors who are interested in pursuing a career-oriented, technical, or vocational program of study at Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) and are a able to demonstrate a commitment to working in a relevant career field.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must have a cumulative 2.0 GPA or better
- Must be graduating in May 2025 from Del Norte High School
- Must be accepted to a career/technical/vocational program at Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) in Fall 2025.

- One (1) Letter of Recommendation (cannot be from a relative or legal guardian)
- Current Unofficial or Official High School Transcript submitted directly to the AlumKnights via Parchment. (Please see https://delnorte.aps.edu/our-school/counselor/transcripts for instructions.)
Selection Process:
Applications will be evaluated to determine the rating of applicants based on selection criteria developed by the AlumKnights Student Support Committee. Students who submit the proper application materials and are selected through a preliminary selection review will be invited to participate in a formal interview with members of the AlumKnights Student Support Committee in March. The final awardee(s) will be selected and notified no later than April 15, 2025.
Deadlines:
Applications will be accepted starting January 13, 2025 and must be received online via our website submission form or via e-mail at scholarships@alumknights.info by February 16, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. (noon). Please note that your most recent unofficial or official transcript is due at the same time as this application, but it must be submitted through Parchment. Please refer to the instructions for requesting a transcript via DNHS’s Parchment service at https://delnorte.aps.edu/our-school/counselor/transcripts. When prompted for a recipient e-mail address, please send the transcript to scholarships@alumknights.info.
